We would like to invite you to our annual Research Days, successfully established in 2008, held by Lakeside Labs GmbH and the University of Klagenfurt. The Research days are a three-day interdisciplinary workshop from 10 to 12 July 2017.

This year’s topic focuses on “Self-Organization and Swarm Intelligence in Cyber Physical Systems”. Swarm intelligence – algorithms generated through evolutionary approaches and inspired by nature – is of increasing interest in industry in terms of digitalization, IoT, smart mobility, etc. The aim of the event is the exchange of ideas, discussions, group works, scientific interaction and possibilities for collaboration and future research projects. Notable results from previous years have been research collaborations, joint papers, conference special sessions, and proposals for European Projects.

Keynote speaker is Gianni A. Di Caro from Carnegie Mellon University (USA). A group of experts in the domain will introduce their research topics in invited talks. The program also includes laboratory sessions with training on swarm robotic platforms.

For further information on registration, agenda, housing information, etc. please visit our website (https://researchdays.lakeside-labs.com/).

One of the key-success factors of the Research Days is the intense group working with a limited number of participants. This year we expect about 50 people. Therefore, seats are limited – please register as soon as possible.

If you know people who might have interest in the workshop, please feel free to forward this e-mail. Thank you!

We are looking forward to welcome you in Klagenfurt for an intellectual exchange.
